Railway pass

If you commute by train or bus, you can purchase one-month, three month or six month railway/bus pass from the station nearest to your campus or home. You can purchase the pass at the student discount rate.

To get student discount on railway pass, please ask at the office of your faculty for a sticker which should be attached to your student ID card.

Should you need a student discount pass on bus lines, please ask for a relevant certificate at your faculty office.

Only elective course students are not eligible for the student discount, but still can purchase an ordinary commuter pass which could be reasonable for frequent riders.

Discount on railway tickets

Degree-seeking students can purchase long distance (101 kilometers or more one way ) railway tickets 20% cheaper than regular price if they submit a student discount certificate (gakuwari shomeisho).

Student discount certificates are issued by automatic issuing machines at each campus.
